This one day covers the emerging standards for Data Mining, namely, the DMG’s PMML, Java JDMAPI and Microsoft’s OLEDB/DM. The course is aimed at information technology architects tasked with building systems with embedded data mining for knowledge generation or scoring engines for knowledge consumption.

Data Mining Techniques for Novices
This course is a four day intensive study of data mining techniques. Attendees of this course will be expected to have same prior knowledge of data mining. The key objective of the course is to introduce the attendees to modeling and knowledge validation techniques that are commonly used in data mining. The course is aimed at marketers/ analyst/ programmers who need to develop models to solve business problems. The course will provide attendees with hands on experience of using these data mining tools and are encouraged to bring along some data for use in the exercises..

Advanced Data Mining Techniques
This course is a three day intensive advanced study of data mining techniques. Attendees of this course will be expected to have same prior knowledge of data mining and modeling techniques. The key objective of the course is to introduce the attendees to advanced modeling techniques including hybrid models and ensemble models. The course also covers some specialist modeling techniques such as Survival analysis, support vector machines and mulit-relation data mining techniques. The course is aimed at analyst/programmers who need to develop models to address complex business problems. These developers will often need to develop systems using data mining components as opposed to workbenches available from standard data mining vendors. The course will provide attendees with hands on experience of using these data mining tools and are encouraged to bring along some data for use in the exercises.
