ADaM Framework - Deployment Control Methodology

One of the design goals for The ADaM Framework was to produce a Deployment Control Methodology (“ADaM DCM”) that took into consideration ‘Human Nature’.

The ADaM DCM starts from the premise that all systems, software and processes are designed to work and invariably when initially installed, they do work.

The problems start to arise when these elements are ‘changed’. These problems occur because as complexity increases so to do the interdependencies. Such interdependencies and the affect they have on the overall business operations are largely overlooked.

Human nature dictates that individual’s knowledge of these dependencies will be at best incomplete. The ADaM Framework’s integral knowledgebase fills the gaps and presents the underlying dependencies to the initiators and approvers of change.

Extending this consideration, the ADaM DCM ensures that the reluctance for individuals to create change requests is circumnavigated by The ADaM Framework doing all the work e.g. automatically generating approval requests to nominated ‘owners’ whenever a component within the universe is changed.

Such requests when ‘proposed’ are only implemented when the owners have analyzed the business impact and given their subsequent authorization. The system will alert owners in the event that these basic procedures are not adhered to.

One of the key benefits of implementing The ADaM Framework is the reduction in resource time spent in extended ‘Change Control’ meetings. This is due to the fact that through the ADaM Framework Portal and the ADaM DCM all interested parties have complete visibility of the ownership, initiators, extents and impact of the proposed changes.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Finisco to any company in need of comprehensive redesign of their website.
